Gooseberry Falls

Autumn is here!  The colors are just beginning to show and the weather is cooling down.  In other words, it's perfect weather for hiking.  We went to Gooseberry Falls over the weekend, which was packed with people since it's a popular place, but we skipped actually looking at the falls in favor of going on a road less traveled.  Our trail of choice took us to some smaller waterfalls, but mostly it simply put us in the woods.  Is there any better place to be?  Not for us.

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived."

- Henry David Thoreau

  1. So cute! We should all go hiking together before it gets too chilly for the little ones.
